Practices

Practices will focus on flexibility, agility and speed, endurance, and strategy. The team will start with stretching, followed by anaerobic exercises, and finally tennis drills. Each of these activities is designed to simulate the tennis experience. Each player will be encouraged to develop a strategy which bests suits their game and will help them to beat their opponent’s game.

Challenges

Challenges for the first six positions will take place until our first conference match. Once our first conference match starts the top six positions will be set and will only change in the event of an injury. If a player would like to challenge the player above them, they  need to make the request with the coach in advance. This will enable the coach to arrange an appropriate day and time.

Matches

If a player is unable to follow the guidelines stated above, the player will be required to have a conference with the coach. If the problems continue, and the meeting with the coach does not produce the required results, the player can be suspended from match play until the behavior improves.

Exhibition Matches

Is based on availability beginning with the positions 7-12, but I also want to give everyone an opportunity to play. If a player is not living up to the standards above, or is not putting forth 100% effort in practice, the player will not have the opportunity to play in the exhibition match.
