Hello parents of Leesville Road High School students,

“New Student Orientation” for students new to our school during the 2007-2008 school year is scheduled for August 22 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Please note that the date of this event has been changed from August 23, as originally announced in the July 10 summer mailing, due to a calendar issue. This event will begin with a brief opening session in the gym at 10:00 a.m. Upon the completion of the opening session, students and parents may walk through their schedule and find their classrooms in preparation for the first day of classes. In addition, the guidance staff has planned special informational sessions for parents as well as special informational sessions for students at different times after the opening session in the gym. Linda Taylor, our Dean of Students, will share more information about these special sessions with parents and students during the opening session in the gym. All orientation activities will end at 12:00 p.m.

Additionally, our first home varsity football game of the school year is scheduled for August 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the school's stadium. This game is a special endowment game. Thus, PAC passes will not be accepted at the gate. The cost of admission to this game is $5.
